My boys love each other.
The other day I was making dinner, while the little cherubs were playing in the front room. I start to hear that all too familiar sound of my children "loving each other", uh, too much. To any untrained ear, it may sound as if my offspring were trying to murder one another (ieweeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth), but I know better.
I am a glass-half-full kind of person.
I walked into the room just in time to see J body slam Hugh. I managed to pry apart the love fest. It was no easy task. Upon completion of separating the two intertwined bodies, I placed them on opposite sides of me.
"J, why were you trying to punch Hugh in the face?"
"He bit me!"
"Well, can you please try to use your words, instead of smashing him?"
After much internal deliberation, he mustered up the will power to do so.
"...Hugh, don't try to eat me! I am not your dinner."
The room was silent, while Hugh mulled it over in his head.
"Oh... Ok."
And that was that.
They went right back to playing.
I'm glad we cleared that up.

ReplyDeleteThe flying pic? So perfect! Reminds me of Cole. Always setting up pillows and jumping off the highest point on the couch. He would have been so happy with a brother close in age.
