Phone mama drama

So, a few weeks ago, we moved here. Did you get that? I feel like I'm repeating myself. Too much.

Hmmm....

Anyway, we moved here. And our phones didn't work in our house. Urgh. Such a pain. We have both had Verizon for like 500 years, and didn't want to switch. We dragged out our decision for eons, trying to justify not being able to use our phones in our abode.

But, then we realized in order to function like normal humans, that would be nearly impossible. So, after calling this number, talking to this idiot, being transferred to that idiot, and then starting all over again, we decided we actually DID NOT want to pay $250 for some weird portable-tower-in-your-home... thing.... so that we could get reception in our home.

Because folks, "We can't guarantee you get service inside your home, anyway." We opted for them to send a tech out to verify we were not kidding when we said, "Hey, we don't get reception in our home." And, who knew, they verified this information to be true. OH, and don't be confused---it doesn't matter if you get reception in your home or not. They don't care. They only care if you don't reception directly outside of your front door. Which, thank goodness we didn't.

So, we got to cancel Verizon, after much fuss, and sass, cancellation free.

That was cool.

Then we sold our phones.

Then we transferred to T-mobile. This was like our 5th mistake of this whole ordeal. T-mobile is like vomit. Or something equally as pleasant. With all our bouncing here and there that we did the following weeks, our phones seemed to work just about as often as we took showers---which was not often, I can assure you.

Then I left my phone on top of my car.

For the millionth time (what on EARTH!?!?).

And that was that.

I didn't want to buy a new phone. So, we came up with a BRILLIANT idea: Let's cancel both of our lines. Buy that stupid $200 whatever-the-thing-is. Buy new phones. And go back to Verizon.

WAY BETTER IDEA than just buying ME a phone. Right? Right.

So, we called up T-mobile. Turns out you have to cancel before 30 days, otherwise you have to pay a $200 cancellation fee. For each line. We called on day 32. And no, they don't care it was only a matter of 48 hours (give or take) past our date.

Holy cow, I'm tired just from typing this.

Sigh.
Yawn.

Long(er) story short(er): After talking to a million different people, flexing my muscles, and wooing them, we are back with Verizon.

I'm serious.

And we bought that wretched machine...

Things to note:
-We both bought our exact phones we had with Verizon...back when we had them...before we didn't have them....hmmmm
-Chris actually sold his original Verizon phone for around $250.
-Bought his new one for FREE. Hoorah.
-I sold my phone for $70.
-When I went into the same place to buy my phone, magically their "promotion" just ended. Right.
-Bought my new phone for $180. Whoops.
-That $250 THING? Chris (of all people!!!) got it for $100
-We only had to pay a cancellation fee for ONE line. The other one my brother took over (along with Chris' phone).
-Our activation fees were waived, because of our good looks and charm---And our crying children screaming for us to leave the store...

Anyway, when all is said and done I think we actually broke even?? Maybe. Not sure. I guess if you ever get bored, just change your phone service every couple weeks. I mean, why not?

And yes. I lost all my numbers. For the 19th time.

Call me.

But you know I really mean text me....
