Today I love...

THIS GUY!

My sister sent me this picture. The date is June 22 2006. Exactly one year before J was born!! Who would'a thunk? I know, I know, I look creepy, but I thought the date on it was cool...

My Dad is one of the greatest people I know. He is by far the most intelligent person I (or you, for that matter) will ever meet. I mean it. Really. He is one those people, ya know? He reads something once, and it's logged in his brain. Forever.

He is full of integrity, and honesty. I've never heard him speak an unkind word about people we know. He is always serving others. He is the person who taught me that we should always be in the service of our fellow beings. I wish I was more like him in that way. I tend to get carried away with my own busy life, but Dad has never been that way. He is the kind of person that would wake us up early Saturday morning to go shovel the snow out of a strangers driveway, because he knew an elderly person lived there.

Chris thinks the world of my Dad. When Chris and I lived in Utah for a few months, he got to spend a lot of time with my Dad. Chris loves telling stories about my Dad to people! Chris always looks forward to the time we get to spend with him. My husband holds him in the highest regard. It's almost like I have grown more love for my Dad, because of the way my husband respects him. My son adores him, and thinks he is magical---always making him new contraptions when we go to visit.

He has always been such a great example to us in so many ways.

Dad!! Thanks for all you have been in our lives! You have supported me through all of my crazy adventures, and never made me feel ridicules for dreaming big. Thank you for being stalwart and solid in my life.

I look forward to eternity with you being in my family.
