I'm from Utah.

Not sure why it didn't get posted back then.

Hurley Pro winner-winner, walking in from his final wave: my alternate lover, Kelly Slater.
We have a past. Another story, another day.
Hey, if Chris can love the whole God given Ocean, I can be in love with Da Bomb.com, himself.

It often times blows my mind that so much of my life is involved with surfing. I remember when I first moved to 'da OC as a young buck (16 years old I think??) my Dad said something along the lines of, "Don't go marrying a surfer or anything," and I immediately thought, "Pah. Right."

And here we are folks.

Besides the fact that my husband is a smokin' hot babe, his first love is mother ocean. Due to the conflict of interest, I guess you could say her and I are not the best of friends. She is really jealous of me, and I'm a land lover. I try to not mingle with my husbands other lover too often. I enjoy her from a far, generally from the comfort of my beach chair.

Lucky for me, my husband not only has a major crush on the Pacific at large, he is also studying, interning, playing, working, and dreaming all things directly related surf. He actually "has to" (twist his arm) attend surf competitions for all previously noted aspects of his poor life.

We "get" (twist my arm... really) to go to surf competitions with him.

It's only a matter of time before mother ocean calls my own little boys into her sneaky snare. I am strong, and know how to resist; however, for the young who wish to be like their dear ol' Dad, it seems to be the inevitable. To be quiet honest, if my boys turn out anything like their Pops, they will make some little girl very happy some day.

So ya know, I don't mind too much. Even being from Utah.

This is what my weekends look like:
