Easter Eve

On Saturday, we had a not-so-normal Easter egg hunt... We had it in the dark, at Kavella Bay. It was totally creepy, but the kids loved it! I think there was something like 6 dozen eggs hidden among the forest. As we were wandering around, I was waiting for some of the "Others" (think LOST...that is where a good 98% of the show is filmed!) to come snatch us up...

Quote of the night by Raleigh Norton: "Ya, I'm so good at finding all the eggs, because my eyes are so bright! They are like flashlights!"
**THESE NEXT FEW PICTURES ARE FOR NATALIE, SINCE SHE WAS OFF ISLAND, ROCKIN' HER MAGIC AT A PHOTOGRAPHY CONVENTION, AND WANTED TO MAKE SURE HER KIDS HAD A FUN EASTER! HERE YA GO MAMA.**

Cardon LOVED the hunt! He would SCREAM each time he saw an egg. He was super into it!

NATALIE!!! RICHIE WENT TO KAVELLA BAY!!! HERE ARE PICTURES TO PROVE IT!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!?!
You can tell he is ecstatic to be there.

J just had a grand ol' time. He actually said to us at the end of the night, "Oh dear Mother and Father, what a grand ol' time I just had. Thank you for making my first Easter egg hunt so memorable. I forever be grateful." Ya, I know. Super weird that he talks so well for a 9 month old. I thought the same thing.

Then we lit off fire works on the beach. The guys were so crazy! Total pyros. What's with that? Which of course meant that "Safety First Richie" was saying every five seconds, "Who's got Raleigh? Who's got Cardon? Who's got Link?", understandably so: It was pitch black with the freaky pants LOST forest behind us, and the crazy "adult" pyromaniacs playing with fire. Any responsible human would be nervous.

The boys had a great time! Raleigh loved the fire works, and wanted to join in on all the fun! He was totally into it! Cardon thought he was going to die. He was sure of it. He clung onto me for dear life. I taught him how to say, "Holy cow!" each time a fire work went off instead of his usual, "HOLY CRAP!" HA! (PS Yes he really does say that all the time. Yes, he is only 3. Yes, it actually really is hilarious!) J man was totally hypnotized by the whole event. He just sat, with a blank face, staring at the fire works the whole time. As soon as one would stop, he would frantically start looking for where the next set would start.

Anyway, that's how we celebrated our Easter Eve. Hawaiian style. Peace.

  1. Oh, Taylor, I'm so happy you documented this! Natalie's going to love these pictures! I sure did. In a conversation we were having on the phone the other day, Cardon let out a "Holy Crap" and I said "what did you say??!" He said, with great feeling, "HOLY CRAP!" Hahahaha! Oh, those kids. I'm so glad Raleigh's eyes are like flashlights...
