Merry V Day

I woke up on Valentines Day late... It must have been 10 AM. Usually I am at least awake by 8, due to my motherly duties that call. Chris had left me a note on the bed that said, "Will you be my Valentine?" Ah. That's cute. I ventured out into the front room to track down the little men in my life, and there were HUNDREDS (HUNDREDS!!!) of cut out hearts hanging from our ceiling. Chris had woken up with the boy, made me breakfast, and decorated our house from top to bottom. It was awesome!

Then, we have been talking about forever what on earth we were going to do with one of our big open walls in our front room... We wanted to print off some oversized, blown up pictures of J and put them on the wall. Chris made it happen!! We now have 3- 11 x 17 pictures of J hanging on our huge side wall. It's PERFECT!

We had a fun day hanging together! Then at the end of the day, we put J to bed at 8. Andy (Chris' brother) and his most wonderfully divine girlfriend Lindsay came over. I thought they were stopping by to say hello, but then Chris told me to get my jacket, and we were leaving. Chris and Andy had secretly planned for them to come over to house that night, so Chris and I could go out. Now, I get it, I know I am lame, but this was the first time EVER that we went on a date, leaving J home with babysitters! We have left him a few times to go do different things (weekly temple, working downtown, etc.), but NEVER to go on a date. Lame, I know. AH!! It was WONDERFUL! I almost peed my pants with excitement! Chris knew it would be like pulling teeth to get me to anywhere without J, unless he was asleep. Nice work boys!

After some malasadas, we headed up to the North Shore to Haleiwa Eats. We just so happened to run into the Norton family #1 (Richie and Natalie...in case you were wondering, Erik and Kindsay are NOrton family #2) and decided to eat with them. We haven't been with them minus children in milleniums. Seriously. Good food, good people, good times.

What a fun, eventful Valentines! Thanks Chris! I guess I learned two lessons: It's the little things that count (suprising me with a babysitter for heavens sakes!!!), and lesson number two: I CAN'T WAIT TO LIVE IN A FAMILY WARD, WHERE I CAN CON YOUNG WOMEN INTO BABY SITTING WEEKLY! It was fab.

We had huge picture of Lucy up in that room once...they kept falling down!! :O There's a good wind that comes through usually- so make sure they are anchored well! The 3M mounting sqaures, I think, work pretty well.
