Oh Hoorah!

Chris and I really believe in what some people call "charma". Sometimes life is awesome. Sometimes life is...well, not so awesome. When the not so awesome parts of life occur, we actually get excited, because we know there is something great right around the corner. It's charma! It always makes up for itself.
Our Volvo died. As in dead. As in, not-worth-a-penny-we-donated-it-to-the-kidney-foundation-DEAD. It was really unfortunate that it died when it did, because we were taking it in THE NEXT DAY to get a tune-up, which would have prevented it from dying. You still following? Hmmm...

Anyway, we were car-less, and wondering what to do with our situation. We were debating on being "real-adults" and just buying a nice, brand new car, that would be ours forever, or buying another get-us-by car (not that our Volvo was... it was actually really nice. To the naked-not-knowing-anything-about-cars-eye that is. Obviously...moving on), since we are only going to be here until June.

Then, my brother introduced us to one of his best friends who just so happens to buy and sell cars. After seeing what he had to offer, we were more than happy, and ended up paying half the price (Seriously! HALF THE PRICE!) for a car, simply because, "Well, I really like Nate." So, even though our hunk of metal Volvo clearly broke the bank and left us empty handed, the car we bought, will more than make up for the money lost with that stupid car anyway, when we turn around and sell it in June.

Never buy Swedish.
Old piece.
Good riddance.

New piece.
Not your dream car? Me either. But you GOT TO LOVE a good deal.

  3. It's kind of fun when cars break down.., you know something is coming, right? And isn't charma spelled "karma"? Or was that the whole point in your story, changing the spelling? OR, am I wrong and it IS spelled with a "ch" rather than a "k"? Either way, I'm happy you got such a deal. What's up with you guys? Since I never have time to read ALL your blog, I don't know exactly what's happenin' in your life. June, leaving? WHere?
