I'm lame

I am officially lame. And when a High Schooler is the one to dub you such, you know it to be true. My sister called me yesterday and said, "So, when are you going to write something I care about on your blog? Writing about your stroller was super lame!" HA! I had to inform her that my blog is for me, and the voices in my head. The only reason I type them up, is so I can have proof that I lived.

Interesting thoughts. So wait, are you telling me if someone has a lame blog, it is directly related to the "coolness" of the actual human that typed the blog? Hmmmm. I have no real rebuttal, either, because to be quite honest, I think my blog is lame, too. But, I keep it for my own personal benefits, and not yours (you rude sister, you!). So, if you want to impress yourself, and all those around, why don't you start your own super awesome blog, so the world can see how super awesome YOU are?? Huh, you bully!!??

So, to prove how super awesome I am, I am going to write about you: MY SISTER

I happen to be the proud owner of my one and only sister ELIZABETH TAYLOR. She is quite the feisty little girl. If you haven't met her, you should. I don't know where the "cool kids" (and of course she is cool---otherwise she wouldn't be able to call me lame, right??) hang out, but I'm sure if you go to some mall in Utah County, you will find her. Seriously, go find her, she will chap your hide.

I couldn't wait to finally get a sister!! When she was born, I was the next oldest. I was 3 1/2, but didn't have any of those weird youngest-sibling-baby-spot-light-being-stolen issues because I was a twin, and so I never really had my own spotlight to begin with. I had four older brothers, and was so ready to have my baby sister come!! My parents would tell me all the time, "Aren't you so excited to have a little sister to play with!!?" and of course, I was. I waited and waited, and finally when my parents brought her home, I was thrilled to have a GIRL to play with!! I ran up to her, and gave her a doll to play with. To my disappointment, she just sat there. I said, "You can take her back. She is is broken."

Even though Liz was the baby, she has always been able to hold her own. She was spoiled rotten by all of us, and always used to get her way (wait, has much changed??) ! She was the little princess of the family! What a sassy little girl she was, always something smart would come out of her mouth. She had to do a lot to keep up with "the bigger kids" but refused to get left behind.

Now my sister is 18 years old, and I absolutely can not believe it. She is still as quick witted as can be. She is gorgeous, and so very smart! She is the most outgoing, happiest, friendliest person I know! She is honest, forgiving, and has only kissed ONE (that other guy doesn't count! HA!) boy! WOW! I always say that every girl needs a sister; I can't imagine not having her. I love and cherish my sister! She has been my little stooge throughout life.

We are so different in so many ways, yet oddly enough, so similar. She is determined and has a very strong will. She is one of those people that just has a good soul to the core. I personally have to work each day to be a better person, and seem to be influenced by others around me; but for my sister, it seems to come naturally and you can't make her do a thing she doesn't want to. As my little sister, I actually look up to her in a lot of ways. She is one of my best friends, and greatest people I know. So, thanks for coming to my family (yes, "my" family. I was there first, there for it was mine before it was yours) sister! I'm so glad that I have you!

Don't ever call me lame again, jerk.

  3. I was getting a little bit ticked off about that dumb stroller as well. It WAS time for a demotion. I agree with sis. But you are not lame, just not a blogging junkie like me. Grr. What has my life come to?

  4. I was starting to feeling a little nauseous myself whenever I clicked on and saw the word, "VOMIT". That's all. Other than that, feel free to take as long as you'd like to post more things. (spoken by someone who doesn't even blog):)

  8. i love what you wrote about your sister! so adorable. you are a fabulous writer and I always look forward to checking out your blog even if it does have a sweet stroller on it. i do however think it is funny that every sunday everyone is oogling over each others strollers and showing each other the cool tricks it can do.
i guess that is what make parents cool...
