...His best friend is his pacifier. And, not just any pacifier, but the stupid, ugly, green, hospital pacifiers. And I know what you are thinking: "OH! Not me. Never would I let that happen to MY child." I already have a major complex about it, so I don't need anyone to leave any comments about how I am ruining his life by letting him have a pacifier still. I already know. I figure if all parents are supposed to screw up their kids life in some way, I just have found my way nice and early.
At least I am fully aware of it, right? I also have a theory though. Like any good mother, I am not responsible for this behavior (of course not!). Let the pictures explain themselves...

First to blame is the hospital. When J was first born, they stole him away, and in the nursery he picked up this habit. The nurses told him, "It's ok J. One time won't hurt... Everyone's doing it!" And that's what he believed.
He ventured home, into the arms of his father. Here, his father helped prolong this dirty little habit, shoving the stupid rubber hatred into his mouth...

So there you have it. Guilty as charged... NOT ME, but the hospital and Chris. Because of course, we all know, I am far more responsible then to
allow a child to be hooked on the stupid things. Poor guy, never even had a chance.

Awww look at the little guy. He really has been so stinkin cute since the day he was born. I know I am a little bias since he is my favorite little pierce but it's true.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even going to tell you how long Richie and Heather were addicted to their pacifiers! Let's just say, walking and talking. For a long time... Erik & Chelsea weren't ever interested in them. Weird, huh?
ReplyDeleteI love all of the cute pictures of J on here... I'm opening up the votes for a request to put some recent ones on Facebook!! :)
ReplyDeletehe looks cute with it. at least it probably keeps him quiet- you HEARD my sons set of lungs the other night... oh man.
ReplyDeleteI don't really see anything wrong with it. I actually wish Paige would take a pacifier. I bet it would make things a little easier at night. She has never understood the concept of a pacifier or bottle for some reason.
ReplyDeleteYou are hysterical. You should be writer Taylor. As for the hospital binkie, June will not give hers up either. I tried using a different brand and she won't have it. Dayne, now 2 1/2 STILL has a binkie and you know what, I don't care!!! She's happy, I'm happy. The world's a better place. Why is J in that incubator (sp?) thing.., on his belly no less?
ReplyDeletecorrection: you should be A writer Taylor.
