J has always loved the beach

Here is at just a few months old...

He loves the beach. And, by saying he loves the beach, I mean he LOVES the beach---in his face, in his mouth, whatever! He can’t get enough. Truthfully, he picks up sand by the handfuls, and will down it as fast as he can, licking his hands clean. SICK! What horrible parents he must have…

Chris was a little bummed this last time we went to the beach together. I learned this later when Chris went to give J a bath. He felt the water, and then turned to me and said, "You're making the water too warm for his baths! J is turning into a wuss... The ocean water was too cold for him today..." (insert Chris' sad pouty face here) Hmmm. I had to remind Chris that it's ok for J not to run and jump into the water because, afterall, it is still winter... and J is still a baby. A very young one at that. So, I guess Chris was suggesting we give J cold baths, so he gets used to cold water...
