First thing I was scared of was the flight! AH! The flight! J is a crazy wild crawler now, and hates to just sit still. He is always trying to find the next big thing to explore (destroy). So, I didn't think that a 5+ hour plane ride, sitting on my lap, in the middle of the day, cramped in one little seat, sitting next to some weirdo, would be super fun for him---OR ME. Everyone kept telling me to just drug him, but I was too scared to do that. He was so young!! Well, as it would turn out, we actually sat next to a super nice young man who was just out in Hawaii for the weekend visitng his brand new baby neice! It was perfect because he actually ended up moving to a totally empty row right in front of us, and voile! J and I had our own row!! YES! Second awesome thing was: HE SLEPT THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME! THE WHOLE TIME!! I just made him his own little bed on the seat next to me, and he was out. It must be something about being on a plane, hearing the engines or something, because this little boy has been on 9 different flights in his short little life, and each time he has just slept, no matter how long the flight was, or at what time of day. It's a miracle. Thank you J!

Second thing I was scared of, was if he was going to freeze to death. When we went home for Christmas, it was NOT awesome. Poor thing got RSV, and thought he was going to die a sad, cold, miserable death. So, this time I actually was well over prepared, and had all his nice winter clothes ready to roll. He was bundled up like a little eskimo when we left the airport. We never had a problem once with the cold. Sigh. Grandma had nice warm PJs waiting just for us!!
Third thing I was scared of was how he was going to adjust to the time difference. Especially with the flight behind us, and the fact that he had just slept for over five hours in the middle of the day. I was NOT looking forward to the night ahead of us. When we got back to my parents house, all my siblings played with the little guy for a good solid two hours (he is the only grandkid!), and then he was out... He slept through the whole night, and that was that. He woke up at 8:00 AM (UTAH TIME!) and from then on, was on his usual schedule. It was fabulous! Chris wanted a picture of J every morning after he woke up. We abliged him the first few nights, until I lost my phone.

All together was a great trip! Besides the fact that we missed our connecting flight from SLC to San Diego (to go visit our other grandparents), it still was a fun trip! My sister and her boyfriend Jake ended up driving us out to San Diego, and we made a fun road trip out of it. J was such a little trooper the whole time, letting me drag him from one even to the next. I was glad to have such a fun time with friends and family in Utah, but it seemed like it was so quick, I didn't get to see alot of people, or do alot of the things I was planning. However, on the other hand, it seemed like we were gone from our other half (Chris) far too long!
Either way, cheers to a good trip home!
J-man is so adorable. He looks so much like Jordan did when he was little. Gosh I hope we have a boy!
