On Monday we had a surprise birthday party for my brother (HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY NATE!!!). There was a group of people over at our house, and lots of commotion. J didn't think that he should have to go to bed, but we kindly put him to bed at his usual 8:00 time anyway. He decided to stay up and talk, telling himself stories for the next couple of minutes, occasionally making himself laugh. Eventually, I heard silence coming from his room. I went in to see why all of a sudden he just stopped talking---maybe he finally fell asleep? I was going to put a blanket over him, and kiss him goodnight.

Instead, I found that he had apparently secretly called an accomplice into the room with his code chattering. Cousin Cardy had managed to climb right into his crib with him--- he was there to help him escape!! All for one, and one for all, I suppose...
Maybe you had to be there, but gosh, I was practically peeing my pants laughing.
oh my goodness thats hilarious! they're just chillin in the crib together. i hadn't checked your blog in a few days and all of your posts are so funny! kate totally loves phone chargers and remotes more than any other toy too-i don't get it. she likes to get the batteries out of the back of the remote and suck on them so i have to watch her now. is J crawling? he seems to get around pretty well for 5 months. wow do you like when i write a whole book on your blog?
